    • 12 Things That Can Make or Break a Paid to Surf Program
      Tuesday, June 13, 2006
I thought it would be important for readers to know about surfing websites for money. Normally, egold is used for surfing websites. I think the best strategy to use would be to dump a large sum of money quickly into a good autosurf/manual surf website and play with profits but given that the surf program has proven to be honest and is well setup such as with DDOS protected servers so that you can be sure that the experience is smooth and with minor glitches. As such, I do recommend compactsurfing at the moment as they could well turn out to be the next 12dailypro which lasted for quite a while. The egold exchangers are listed to the left sidebar where you can use your credit cards or debit cards to exchange for egold at egold website. The link to join is:
      Compactsurfing

Here's a vital article thanks to Autosurfcentral:

      The Admin
      - Business experience, technical capability, honesty, personality, and history in the paid-to-surf/hyip arena are all important factors that will impact a program.

The Biz Plan - This can vary widely. A program that relies little or not at all upon new ad pack purchases can worry less about popularity in the forums and at the monitors. The more solid income streams a program has coming in the better.

A program that relies heavily upon new ad pack purchases has to have a huge presence in the forums and positive feedback from the top monitors.

A sound marketing plan has to be in place to get the program off the ground. The program should strive to turn heads right out of the gate.

The percentage offered and length of upgrade do matter especially if there is a reliance upon new ad pack purchases to make the next round of payouts. In other words the program must have an attractive(yet reasonable) offer in place to be competitive. Lower percentage programs have a tougher time attracting new customers, but that can be offset by an excellent marketing plan or by the track record of the admin(s).

A substantial reserve fund or contingency plan should always be waiting in the wings just in case finances take a turn for the worse.

Site Design - Should be attractive and provide precise information about how the program is run. Information about the admin(s) should be provided. Programs with sloppy or non-creative designs stand a lesser chance of attracting new customers(and if there is a reliance upon new ad pack purchases to make payouts, then trouble will strike sooner rather than later).

Customer Service & Communication - Quick response to support tickets and clear, concise updates from the admin are critical to the success of a program.

Payouts - If an admin states that payouts will be done on a certain day, then they need to get it done on that day. Also if payouts are typically completed within 24 hours of request and that timeframe slips to 3 or 4 days, a red flag will go up in the minds of experienced surfers. An admin is better off promising payouts within a 5-7 day period and then completing those payouts towards the end of that range even at the beginning of the program. Surfers watch payout timing like hawks.

Popularity - This goes back to the biz plan. The more reliant upon new ad pack purchases, the more popular a program needs to be in the forums and at the monitors. Popularity helps any program, even the ones that have substantial supporting revenue.

Changing Program Variables - Again this goes back to the biz plan and also the marketing plan. Too many admins arrive on the paid-to-surf scene with guns blazing and an amazing plan to change the face of the business. 2-3 months later they are changing the variables because they offered too much too soon. That usually spells the beginning of the end for the program because support and enthusiasm wanes quickly when the admin doesn't hold up their end of the bargain.

Cheaters - Cheating attempts are still prevalent even though the likes of Paypal and Stormpay are no longer part of this business. Egold is the main processor used and does not allow chargebacks. But cheaters can still affect programs by signing up for multiple accounts under their own referral link. Any program that offers a start-up bonus could also be cheated by somebody signing up for multiple accounts. It's on the admin's shoulders to thwart cheaters.

Hackers - Proper security measures need to be in place prior to launching a program. The script needs to be scanned for loopholes. The database needs to be backed up frequently. This all falls on the admin's shoulders.

Script/Database Issues - Either the admin has to be the techinical guru or he/she needs to have people on call that can fix issues. The longer a site is down, the more nervous and cautious members get due to past experiences in this business.

DDOS Attacks - Denial of Service. Millions of hits per second on the server. These happen frequently to popular programs. There are a number of possibilities as to who launches such attacks. Could be somebody doing it for fun. Could be somebody bribing the admin for egold. Could be another paid-to-surf admin trying to take down the competition.

Personal Issues - Too many times we have heard a sad personal story from the admin of a program only to see the program close shop with all the money a few days later. I don't like to hear personal stories from any admin for the simple reason that we never know if it's true or not. If payouts are due on a certain day then they should be done on that day no matter what. Experienced surfers will throw a flag up whenever admin personal matters get in the way of payouts.
